Step by Step Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten is now operating in a revised environment due to the novel coronavirus. The school will be adhering to the advice and guidelines of Alberta Healthcare Services (AHS) as well as taking other safety measures. This policy remains in effect until further notice. Please note the following safety measures:
Step by Step Montessori and Kindergarten reserves the right to refuse admittance and send your child home back with the individual that brought them to school.
Please note as per the Enrolment and Tuition Agreement, no refunds will be considered for a student who is missing school due to illness… The monthly fee covers both actual care and guaranteed space. If you wish to withdraw your child from the program, a 1-month written notice is required to waive payment for the following month.
- On the children’s arrival, each child will undergo a mandatory temperature check via a touchless forehead thermometer and will be asked to sanitize their hands prior to proceeding to the classroom.
- It is recommended that all students wear face masks.
- The surfaces of the classroom will be sanitized between AM and PM sessions and thorough cleaning will be done at the end of each day.
- Fever and/ or chills
- Cough (new cough or worsening chronic cough)
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing (new or worsening)
- Sore throat and/ or painful swallowing
- Runny and/ or stuffy nose
- Headache
- Muscle or joint aches
- Feeling unwell, fatigue or severe exhaustion
- Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or unexplained loss of appetite)
- Loss of sense of smell or taste
- Conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye
